Siesta Key Beach #1 Again – And We Live Here!

It was the thing that sealed the deal for us.  We found Siesta Key Beach when we were driving around, checking the area out and trying to decide if we wanted to move to Sarasota.

It was not the public beach we found, but one of the other of several access points to the beach.  It has become our favorite – Access 7.  Off the beaten path to tourists and not far from the quaint Siesta Key village.

It’s understandable to us that Siesta Key is the #1 Beach in the country again as voted by Trip Advisor.  The #2 and #3 beaches are within an hour from us, as well.

The quote on the Trip Advisor site is:

“Pristine beach that never seems to end. Photographer’s dream. A place in the sun that warrants returning again and again.”

The sand is the softest I’ve ever felt.  It’s like flour.  There are also plenty of shells available for one of my favorite things to do when on the beach – shell picking.

It is also a prime spot for some of the most gorgeous sunsets I’ve ever seen.  We’ve taken several visitors there and they’ve all loved it.  In fact one couple made the decision right then and there to move here for a few months from the U.K.

Here are a few of the pictures we’ve taken at Siesta Key Beach.

One of the sunset pictures I took is even the background of one of our marketing pages.  We are so grateful to be able to choose where we live and blessed to have found such a gorgeous part of the world to call home.

I fell in love with Siesta Key the moment I set foot on the sand. I loved having the pelicans in my photos of me wading in the shallow waves. I am so glad that you and Kevin have made your way to such a lovely place to live. You’ve set the bar for us to see what is possible when you follow your dream, Melissa.

  4. Beautiful beach photos! I would love to live near the beach, maybe one day. Lol
