I took Tanner last week to his “end of course” exam for Algebra over at the local high school. (175 days of the year, he does his school from home).

The coolest thing about our “work from home” career is having our 14-year-old Tanner waking up each day with both Mom and Dad at home.

Why Virtual School And The One We Chose

We love that Tanner can get up when his eyes open and start school at a time that works for our family. Usually he has a webinar live lesson at 10:00 a.m. and gets started after that. He has a good breakfast and we don’t have a crazy morning trying to get him out the door.

Are Homeschooled and Virtual Schooled Kids More Socialized?

I submit that there is a great deal of education that my kids received and Tanner continues to receive, by not having to spend so much time away from normal life. Aside from all the experiences outside the house, there are opportunities for us to connect as a family that we wouldn’t have otherwise. Our kids get to attend events for our business with us and the travel has done them a world of good. Honestly, they are some of the most socialized kids I know. There are a lot of things I’m very happy they did not have to be subjected to in a regular school setting. We are so happy with our decision. It has allowed us to be the primary influence in their lives.
