An Evening With Michael Beckwith from The Secret

Unity of Phoenix was the setting yet again to meet an amazing teacher from The Secret – Michael Bernard Beckwith. The Agape Choir was there performing that night, too.  It was a beautiful evening in every way.

I’ve also seen Michael Beckwith at his spiritual center, Agape International in Culver City, California.  He is a captivating speaker, but I was most struck by his welcoming spirit when spending time with him in person.  

Many people know Michael from The Secret. Another reason to know him is his marriage to Rickie Byers-Beckwith who leads the music ministry at Agape.  I love her music.  We sang it often at Unity of Phoenix and it is sung at a multitude of New Thought spiritual centers all over the country.

But I digress. 🙂  Getting back to Michael, I really enjoyed his book Spiritual Liberation.  It’s a really balanced book that teaches us to do our inner spiritual work drawing on a varied range of spiritual teachers not focusing on religion or dogma.
